Ceramic Coating

What is ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a premium liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your vehicle’s factory paint, creating a semi-permanent, glass-like layer of protection. Unlike traditional wax that wears off in weeks, this "sacrificial shield" provides years of extreme gloss, incredible water beading, and a surface so slick that dirt and road salt struggle to stick—making your car significantly easier to wash and keeping it in showroom condition longer.

The Foundation of the Finish

Every ceramic coating service we offer is a complete exterior transformation. We believe a coating is only as good as the surface beneath it, which is why all of our GYEON ceramic services automatically include our "Signature Exterior" preparation.

Before a single drop of ceramic is applied, your vehicle undergoes a rigorous multi-stage process to ensure a flawless bond and a mirror-like finish:

  • Decontamination Wash: A deep cleanse to remove road grime, oils, and old waxes.

  • Iron & Tar Removal: A chemical treatment to dissolve embedded metallic fallout and stubborn road tar.

  • Clay Bar Treatment: A mechanical exfoliation that lifts microscopic contaminants, leaving the paint as smooth as glass.

  • Surface Prep: A specialized alcohol-based wipe-down to remove any remaining residues, ensuring the coating chemically bonds directly to your clear coat for maximum durability.

To get the most out of your investment, we highly recommend a paint correction to remove imperfections and ensure your ceramic coating bonds perfectly for maximum gloss and durability.

Notes:

  • The Curing Window: To ensure a successful bond, the vehicle must remain dry for the first 24 hours after application. Please do not wash the vehicle with any soaps or chemicals for 7 days to allow the GYEON coating to reach full hardness.

  • Maintenance Required: While ceramic coatings are incredibly durable, they are not "bulletproof." Regular maintenance washes using pH-neutral soaps are required to maintain the hydrophobic properties and valid performance.

  • Automatic Car Washes: Use of "brush" or "friction" automatic car washes will scratch the coating and significantly shorten its lifespan. Hand washing or touchless washes only are highly recommended.

  • Surface Reality: A ceramic coating is a protective layer, not a filler. It will not hide deep scratches or rock chips; however, it will dramatically enhance the gloss of the corrected paint underneath.

  • Environmental Factors: For mobile applications, we require shaded area (garage, carport, etc) and stable weather. If high winds, rain, or extreme temperatures are forecasted, we will reschedule to ensure a flawless application.
